Having problems deleteing photos. Is there a way to delete a whole album or many photos at one time. For some reason the photos have duplicated themselves.

You can either delete all the photos or just the ones that are doubled by opening the photo app, press the arrow button on the top right, hit delete on the left upper side, then tap on all the photos that you want deleted, select delete again and all of the photos that you have checked will be deleted.
