Hello, my name is Luke and I am new here, I'm after a little bit of help please and feel that this is the place to come! I have just fitted a new digitizer to my Nephews iPad 2, the repair seems to have gone okay apart from 1 issue! I have tried to power up the device but nothing happens. The power flex all looks to be intact etc, I have been told that I will need to do a hard reset and then all should be okay, this is where I've hit a bit of a wall. He has his device password protected and because the display won't light up I can't get him to put his password in to do the reset. Is there a way around this problem? Thank you in advance. Luke

If "hard reset" is what I'm supposing, then you don't need to put in a password:
Press and hold Power and Home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons.
