iPad 2 data, apps, etc

Thinking about purchasing a mini, can get it through the military exchange for $10 less than Apples price, no tax, no shipping! My question is, will all the info, data, apps etc from my iPad2 sync over to the mini?

Is it worth the switch? My iPad2 will go to my mother. Thanks.

If you use either iCloud or iTunes (my preference) you can do a full backup on the old iPad and the restore to the new iPad and it should be exactly the same. The only issue I ever see with iOS 6 is that passwords to email accounts and certain Apple specific settings will have to be reentered once you are done. That usually shouldn't take you more than 2 minutes to correct.
