I'm an Ipad 1 ower who just bought the IPAD 2. I took my existing Griffin Elan Passport case and put it on my IPAD 2. Fit is not bad at all. Two issues so far, first the back camera is covered with the case. Second, the sleep button is hard to reach. Both of these are minor issues until an acceptable case comes out.
Also, my local ATT store has these cases 50% which makes a new one $25.

Believe you can fit the iPad2 and cover in the old apple case.
Cutting a hole for the camera should be easy with a sharp blade.

I worry slightly about the thinner screen if it gets dropped.

I found one of these: Envoy iPad Case at Marshalls for $10. Looks and feels like real leather (but it's not). Has a nifty velcro closure that doubles as a quick release to pop the pad out when you pull on it. Minimalist, but enough to make me feel more secure when I leave the house with it.

I also tried the original Apple one case on my IPAD 2.
Does fit but doesn't feel "secure".

I just purchased a Marware Eco-Vue case online and used a 10% off promo code. It also had free shipping. The Apple salesperson recommended it.

I saw one just like this one on another thread in the accessories forum, but it was not Marware. It was a cheaper one but it came in clear. No idea if it was a decent company or not. If I can find it I will post it back here.

    Found it...

I ordered the ZaggMate Keyboard and Slip Case from Waterfield Designs but so far this case is what I'm really excited about from Portenzo.

Ipad 2 Case for your iPad

I just got my iPad, but now I am worried about protecting it and making sure that big screen doesn't get scratched. So I have purchased recently ipad 2 case. The ipad 2 case works great but doesnot cover the back. For me though I really care about the back just the screen so it's all up to you.

Yes, here's the forum post link; http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-acce...ender-ipad-2-case-my-thoughts.html#post224834 . Choosing a case that works for you is one of the funnest parts of owning an iPad. For me, an OtterBox case was the best choice. Try a few; maybe you can return it if it doesn't work out. ;)

I haveg a TeckNet black leather case & it works just fine. It has holes / slots in all the rit places and does the magnetic sleep / wake thing too. Also an Acase stylus - easy to use & really useful, I find. I'd recommend both.

Well, I may be the wrong person to ask but I do regret the one I ordered. There’s good enough and then there’s ludicrous. Guess which one I went with. Anyway, I do like the notebook style and it seems to be the most popular. I figure if it’s good enough for news correspondents, then its likely good enough for me.

Still, the sky is truly the limit with respect to the very practical vinyl, exotic leathers, integrated keyboards and more. How you plan to primarily use the pad is key to the selection. School, travel, movie watching or walking the outbacks all have their own unique requirements.

BTW: They're only two kinds of iPads; those you’ll drop and those you’ll drop again.
