My iPad has, of late, been exhibiting issues that I have no understanding for. When I am browsing via Google, or Safari, my screen (quite frequently) reverts back to the desktop. Actually, it had been happening for many months, but not nearly at the frequency that it's been happening during the previous few weeks.

What might be causing this, and how could it be defeated?

Your problems are likely caused by the lack of RAM in the iPad 1, which only has 256MB of RAM, newer iPads have 1GB of RAM. Current versions of websites are putting a strain on older devices such as your iPad. This will only get worse as time goes on. Unfortunately, the only solution is a newer iPad with more RAM and processing power.

Wow. Sorry to hear that. But, thanks.
