Ipad 1 should i upgrade to ios 5.0.1

So far me upgraded to IOS 5.0.1 no problem but Apple iPhone has serious issues. Got rid of my Apple iPhone after so many flaws.

I had same problems updating the iOS until I had my computer desktop worked on for unrelated issue, mentioned my problem updating the iPad and he adjusted a setting so my HP wasn't as quick to go on standby. Next time iPad updated fully although took unknown overnight time as have slow connection. Mackesure windows update and av scanner is not running same time. Will defer to those
knowing more as for other suggestions. Safari does close unexpectedly but no more then weeks before update.
