I have just downloaded iOS8 and agreed to the terms and conditions. The screen then asks me to attach the ipad to iTunes which I don't use. My computer is a windows computer. I attached the ipad via its cable to the computer but nothing is happening except a driver was downloaded. I would be very grateful for some help. Thank you in advance.

There's iTunes Store on your iPad. You can download and purchase movies, series, music, ... there.
The other iTunes is on your computer, and it is different.

You need to install iTunes on your PC. Here's the link to the latest version (11.4): http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1615
It's for 64 bit, so if your Pc has 32, you'll need a different version.

Download and install iTunes to your PC.

That done, use recovery mode to restore and update your device: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Hope that helps.

Glad to help.

I hope it's working now. If there still are some glitches, reset it: press Home and Power button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, release both and let it power up.
