Double click the home button or use the 4 finger up swipe to reveal the multitasking bar. Select the app you want to close and swipe up on the thumbnail above the app icon. The app will now be closed. <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=49684"/>

Thanks! Got it. One more thing pls, when I'm using "data services" how do I get back confirmation mssg on my balance? On d previous iOS (b4 7) it would display a message bar saying "Dismiss" one would have to click on it and it displays your balance, otherwise you won't get a feedback. Cos every time I clicked "check balance" it displays "your sim sent a USSD message" but I don't get a feedback on my balance.

One thing that doesn't make sense: How come they jumped from iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 7?
Another thing: How come I can't upgrade from iOS 6 to iOS 7 on my iPad?

When you're on iOS 6, you should be able to update to 7.
Are there any popups that appear when you try to update?

You should be able to update from iOS 6 to iOS 7. Whats the problem? I mean, what are the symptoms that show that it is not updating?

Which iPad do you have? If it is the 2 or newer you should be able to update. I've seen the 2 running the new iOS 7 and it even does that parallax thing.

I have an iPad mini.

No, no popups.

When I go to the "Software Update" screen on my iPad, it says "iOS 6.1.3 Your software is up to date". There isn't even an option to update. Should I just get a new iPad? I've been thinking about the iPad Air...

The mini gets the update.
Try it once more. Don't forget to backup before trying. If it still isn't updating, look at the storage of our iPad. If it still won't update through Settings - General - Software, then use iTunes (computer) to update. Make sure that it's up tp date, then connect your device. It should prompt you to update.
We're on iOS 7.0.3 in the meantime.

Try to reboot your iPad by holding the home button and the on button until it restarts and see if the update shows up.
