Ios 5 keybord

I Herd mi friend talking about a new funktion on the keybord with ios 5 but i dont know what he is talking about. Can someone please explain

Does he mean splitting it in half? Place your hands on the keys and pull outwards.

Hold your finger down on the key that is in the far bottom right corner of the keyboard. Then choose undock or split.
