Introductory message and first question

Hi I'm a fairly new ipad2 user and I'll probably have a lot of questions. I'm used to a Dell laptop and windows. this is my first experience with Apple ...and so far, so good; though not perfect.

My question relates to downloads| I downloaded photos from a party I went to from the Google picasa site to my iPad and marked them to sit on my front page. I' d like to be able to include them in my photos. Can I do this?

If you've downloaded a photo - perhaps using Safari - it you touch and hold your finger on the image you'll get a pop up that will enable you to save it in the iPad's native Photos app.

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

thanks for your prompt reply. I tried holding my finger on the image but it started to shake and an x appeared in the corner, as happens with ap logos. I can't see a way to save the image in photos. any more ideas?

OK - sorry - I misunderstood your question...

OK - touch the icon on your Home page that is from the photo you want to save. Safari will open up and take you to that page. Once Safari displays the image you want to save in Photos, then touch and hold the image and you'll get the pop-up box with the option to Save and it will put that image in the iPad's Photos app.
