Hi,

I am a happy iPad user living in Belgium and working in the IT business. Looking forward learning from the members of this forum all kinds of usefull information regarding the iPad device.

One issue I currently have is that after I used the restore option in iTunes (my iPad was blocked as I did not remember the numeric access code any more) the iPad is operational again (it was restored to its factory defaults as I did not have a backup copy), but some of the standard icons are blank (just an empty white box).
Some icons (agenda, messages, kiosk) appear normal, but all the others show as white boxes with the correct description below them. They also work normally when I click on them.

Anybody an idea how I can have these icons appear normally again?

No the device was not jailbroken.

It's just that I had heard of this but it was a jailbroken iPad.....I even went looking for it.

Try a reset of your iPad and see if this fixes your issue.

Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.

Let us know how you go.
