Increasing Brightness (gamma) on Movies?

Hi guys,

Very new Apple user here just bought a movie from the iTunes store but the movie is very dark.. Lots of scenes in the night.. Any way to make these scenes brighter?

On my pc I just raise the gamma levels but there seems to be no option to do this in video player, is there perhaps a good media player in the app store anyone can recommend for functionality to adjust movie sounds/color etc on the fly?

You can adjust the brightness with the Display and Brightness setting on your iPad.

Hi thanks for replying, the brightness setting increases overall brightness, does nothing for the gamma settings, so dark movies are still dark.

Are the dark scenes in this movie scenes that are supposed to be dark and you want to brighten them up?

Yes, they are supposed to be dark, but on a tv you increase the gamma and is all good.. Wondering if I can do this on ipad.
