How do I shut off the notification tone for iMessage on my iPad? It is pretty loud and rather annoying. I see options to shut off the sound in all other messaging in notifications except iMessage.

Please helps.

Thanks much. :)

Thanks very much.

I would like the banner to still pop up, this will stop the banner as well, right ?

Then underneath the notification center after you selected off, in Alert Style there are 3 boxes for notifications, select none. See following photo.

Sorry reread your post. Select banner in alert style. I have it selected, look at one of the earlier photos.

In sorry, that is for banner/box notifications, you want the sound off.

General> Sounds> Text Tone> None

This just turns the sound off. If you want to keep the banners, the notification center still needs to be on.
