Unlike last year, rainbows are rare this year. This one was “just around the corner”, and it looks like most people didn’t notice it.

They’ve done a good job.
The newer sidewalks in my village are paved, some are even asphalted. The older ones are made of concrete, if they haven’t been replaced. My father was bricklayer, so the parking space in front of my mother’s house is made of concrete, but not as sophisticated as the one in your photo. Just simple rectangles.

Driveways in my city always have those diagonal lines. It probably gives better grip for tires rolling across the driveway.
