I borrowed one of my son's lenses, this is the (cropped) result:

:)
Interesting enough, the photo is only visible in website view.

I see it also in the Tapatalk app, but not in the forum app. That's a great moon shot. What focal length was that lens?
(By the way nice to see your Smurf avatar back:))

The focal length was 400 mm. Originally the size of the moon on the picture is a lot smaller. The lenses I use are not as good as his. :)

Smurfette feels more like myself. :) (And if I changed my avatar constantly to something else, how could my daughter show that she's my offspring? ;-)) I used the watery rose only because of Valentine's Day yesterday. :)

This is the result I get with one of my lenses (focal length: 300 mm). These photos are cropped as well. image-666204572.jpg

For the Draw Quest "Create a new ice-cream flavor" challenge.

Posted not because it's a great drawing, but because it sounds like it would taste really good. Or am I just really weird?

You're certain that this doesn't already exist?
There are flavors such as latte macchiato, coffee, or even carrot and kale. Maybe someone created tea variations as well. :)

I recommend "anchovy, peanut butter, and miniature marshmallow."

Well ALL, for a change of pace, here's a pic of my left hand w/ a thumb bandage that I DON'T LIKE! Ouch -

For several years, I had a 'ganglion cyst' of that thumb which enlarged in the last 6 months (afraid that I'd run a sharp chisel into it while doing some woodworking project - self treatment, I guess - HA); so this morning (very early!), a hand surgeon @ the medical center where I use to work, drained the cyst and applied this rather large bandage - have to leave it on for a week when I return to see him - local anesthesia is wearing off @ the moment.

NOW - I'm lucky, of the ten fingers I own (have yet to lose one doing my woodworking), the left thumb is the one I hardly ever need when typing on my laptop (right-handed - that thumb does get a workout) - so I'll still be here! Dave :)

That is quite a large bandage.....I hope it doesn't start throbbing once that anaesthesia wears off for you Dave.

And so glad you still have all your fingers! My dad was forever knocking his about while woodworking also! ;)

Hi Leelai - well, I've not been woodworking (WW) for about 6 months (usually don't in the winter anyway) - below a pic of the left thumb cyst before surgery - can't you just see a chisel or screwdriver (in the right hand for me) slip into that bump - OUCH!

The local anesthesia has worn off & just have some dull aching which hopefully will improve over the next few days - was given some hydrocodone (codeine synthetic) which I'll take @ bedtime - would rather have a few glasses of wine w/ dinner than mixing the two - Then hopefully back to WW in the spring! Dave :)

That was quite a ganglion......I would be worried too and just the thought of a chisel going into it is painful! ;)

My daughter has a small one on her wrist.....she's had it for years and tends to plays with it.

I wish it would just go away but I don't think that will happen after all this time!

I think a glass or 2 of wine at dinner a much better choice! ;)

I hope it heals well for you and is but a memory when you do get back to your woodworking. :)

It might. I've never seen it, but there are lots of specialty flavors by lots of companies. I doubt I've seen even half of them.

Pwew! A sharp chisel into your thumb. I bet that would make your day;)

Take care Dave. We want to see a lot more of that great woodworking done with ten fingers, no less.
