If you are experiencing SLOW connections on AT&T with your new ipad...

and are in a non-LTE coverage area. Try disabling the LTE option in settings and your speed may bounce back.

This has worked for me as I was having consistent connection issues over 4G in a non (currently, at least) LTE coverage area. Hope this helps some folks.
