Icon question

I have 3 icons which have changed what they look like, it is like some kind of notification about a news update or something? It started out with 1 icon now it is 3 and I can't seem to get them to go back to normal. Anyone know how to get these blue mail icons off?

What happens if you touch them to see 'what they have to say'?

They're probably trying to 'tell you something' that relates to the content of the app.

Give it a try and let us know what they are trying to tell you.

When you click them they work fine, and you can use it with no issues. But I don't get a message about an update or I need to go read something. It just opens and lets me read the news. I thought maybe I needed to click something once I was in the app. but I dont see anything that stands out.

Pretty weird. Have you tried restarting the iPad?

Hold down the power button until the red power off slider appears, and slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down hod the power button down again until the Apple logo appears.
