    After downloading iBooks from the app store, you access the iBooks store from iBooks itself by clicking the Store button in the top left of the app.

    It appears that you have not actually received your iPad yet. You can only access iBooks from your iPad, not through iTunes on your PC.

    I wonder why I can buy iBooks through the iTunes store....kinda silly if you ask me, wanted to know if the books I wanted were on there or if I was going to have to get them from Amazon

    This is, in my opinion, one of the main reasons that the iBooks system is no threat to Amazon and their Kindle system. While the Kindle app is not as "pretty" as the iBooks app, there is no question that Amazon has the best selection and the best prices.

    So do yourself a favor and download the free Kindle app. You will be much happier!

    i have the kindle app in my itunes waiting on the pad to get here.
    wife has a Kindle, so it was a no brainer
