Well I've just downloaded iBooks 3 app to test that our own books work fine in it (phew they do).

I'n not sure if it is faster but some of the new features sound good.

One thing I did notice was that in portrait mode when viewing books from the store the text seems to truncate less.

Has anyone else downloaded it yet, do you have any views?

Works fine. Has more sharing options for selected text.

Talking from the UK perspective, the marketshare is still held by kindle.

I presume their advantage (one of many) is because you can read the e-books on apple and non-apple products.

It will be fascinating to see if with the ipad mini and the new version of iBooks, apple will gain more marketshare. I still find using the store a tad slow on the ipad2 but maybe that's my internet connection.
