I am a proud new owner of an AT&T black 32 gb wi/3g! I have searched forum's and googled for the best way to set up my new ipad2. I have read to set up as new in itunes. I have read since I have an iphone that I could just do a restore from a backup and everything would be set up from my iphone. Does anyone know which is a better way or can point me in the right direction? I don't want to mess my new baby up right out of the box!
Also will my apps on my iphone work and function correctly on my ipad?
Thanks for any information!

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice from members to help you set up your new iPad and transfer your contacts etc over. I'll leave it to those more experienced than me to advise you - I certainly don't want to mess you lovely new machine up!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

It’s free too.

Welcome! I would set it up as new just because a bunch of your iPhone apps probably aren't 'universal' and synching the apps you do want is easier than deleting all the apps that you don't want.

You mention getting it from Target, then mention AT&T?? If you got it from Target, I hope you used or got the "Target" card to get the 5% off!! Ken
