Thought I'd get in here fairly early... the ipad is going to be huge, therefore this site will be.

Just looking forward to the Apple marketing machine and their, to be honest obscene, advertising budget to kick in and get this product across to the general public.

Give it to anyone for 15 minute, technophobes in particular, and they will be sold on it and the concept of the UI.

Just wish (maybe some hope) that it could be more of a standalone product... then it would really bring tens of millions of new people into the world of e-media.

I agree, but it seems clear to me that Apple has left itself a LOT of room for expansion, and (dare I say) Improvement! BUT, I'll definitely get my hot little hands on one as soon as I can. Probably not the super big one with 3G, just so that I won't feel so guilty about upgrading in a few years.
