how to put a url on to ipad desktop

Hi,,,,,Can someone help me please ? I found a site on google that I would like to put with the other icons on the desktop so that I don't have to keep going into google to look for it,,is it possible to do.?

If you use the Google app, that's not possible.

With Safari, it works this way:
Open the site in Safari, tap the "Share" button (the square with the arrow) at the top right, and select "Add to Home Screen". Then enter a name/information for the site, if necessary, and tap "Add".
