Handbrake is an excellent (and free) programme which is available for both windows and OSX for converting DVD's and it has iPad presets to make everything easy for you.

I also use Handbrake. It's easy to use and makes flights much easier! You can find a YouTube video which explains how to use it and you just follow the instructions. Have a good flight!

Hi Minesdel - welcome to the forum! :)

The suggestion by Gabriel is certainly a popular one - check THIS LINK for more advice. Also, there has been a LOT of discussion on this forum, so some searching might bring up much useful information; a 'google' search will also provide a lot of suggestions.

In addition, think about iTunes for purchases and/or rentals - finally, if you want to listen to the movies w/ your daughter (I'd probably rather be reading a book - :D), then a headphone audio splitter (as shown below) is a must (and cheap) - good luck on the trip (my own experiences go back to the mid-1970s!).

Hi guys, happy new year! To rip, convert and backup DVDs to play with any Android/iOS/Windows RT/Win8 device, you need the powerful and professional DVD Ripper from Brorsoft.
