How can I refresh my email?

    I have my Verizon email being sent to my ipad 2.

    The problem is that the emails showing up on my ipad 2 are old and aren't the same ones that in my actual Verizon inbox when I log into verizon.net from my PC.

    How can I refresh my mailbox on my ipad so that it only shows the emails that are actually currently in my inbox?

    I hit the little Refresh icon at the bottom, but it didn't do anything.

    I take it that the emails on your pc and ipad are different from each other, as in the ones on your pc are not on your ipad and vice versa?

    If so, then that means you are using pop3 protocol, which downloads the email from the server to the machine, so if you check for email on your pc, it will dwnload the email to your pc and remove it from the server, thus when you check with you ipad, it will show as no email and the same when you download with the ipad.

    What you need to do is change your email server settings, from pop3 to imap.

    A quick check suggests thst verizon does not support imap, hopefully someone that uses Verizon can confirm, as we don't have Verizon in the UK
