Hiding or disguising an app?

Hello. I am considering downloading the new my little pony game from gameloft. However, I am on a shared iPad, so it is kind of impossible to do, considering a lot of people are jerks without open minds, so I have to stay secret. Is there any way to hide or disguise the app, if and when I download it? Its an iPad 1 jail broken.

Sorry. I don't get it. This is a kids' game, isn't it? At least that's what my exposure to TV advertising would have me believe.

Sure, if you are jail broken - there are several ways. My recommendation is to download a password app, one that can also lock folders. Something like AppLocker ($.99).

Then, you put your app inside a folder and lock the folder so no one can get into it to even see what's in it.

Or - you could hide it with an app called Poof (which is also available in/with SBSettings). The only thing is, my understanding is that you can find an app that's been hidden via the Spotlight search function, so there's that.

Hope some of this helps.

Thanks for that useful info, Marilyn.

I didn't know that was available to jailbreakers.

To kevinjs, yes, I am aware that the game...shoot, the whole franchise is made for little kids, but if you haven't heard, the are a lot of teen to middle aged men that are addicted to it. Look it up some time.

To Marilyn, Thank you for the advice, will try it son, will pos results. Thanks!

I hadn't heard. Thanks for the heads up. More addictions I do not need. Anyway, Marilyn's advice is good if you want to jailbreak or have already done so.

Alright, tried applocker (great app though) however you can find it with spotlight search, and you can see it in the folder without unlocking (tryed it with NASA). Spotlight search might be ok, considering nobody on the device would be looking for it specifically, but seeing it through the folder could be a problem. Any more suggestions?
