Help with twitter app

Hi, I'm having problems with my twitter app and wonder if anyone can help? When I type the @ sign there are no usernames available to select, I'm still able to reply to tweets that I have been mentioned in but cannot start a tweet to anyone. I have deleted and signed out several times and also cleared caches, as told to by another forum. Can anyone help?

Try not using the @ when tweeting to someone. There are decent 'free' twitter apps. I use a nice one but I paid for it when it went down to $.99. It's more now but I think there is a free version for this one with ads. It's called twittelator. I love this one
