Help Needed. Jailbroken Ipad 2 will not sync to Itunes

I acquired a used ipad from my cousin. It was jailbroken with cydia. I tried to remove cydia and uninstalled the application. However, ipad will not sync to itunes ( I have already updated itunes and restarted). I also have tried doing a factory reset. However it freezes when the apple and download begins. I am new to apple devices and cannot find on any threads to help. Please help. Thank you!

Well, it sounds like you have maybe panicked a little and removed some stuff you should not have. In this situation, the best thing to do is probably restore the device back to factory settings.

You are probably going to have to get the device into DFU mode, but the full failsafe process if listed here. I suggest you follow it step by step and you should end up with a restored device.
