Help, Ipad2 Dead

Was in the middle of using app for local newspaper, and screen suddenly went black with a 50% charge. Tried hooking up to charge in multiple outlets using multiple chargers, and also direct to my mac laptop, no luck. Not able to reseet with home and power buttons, and unable to see when hooked up to PC in Itunes. Any ideas other than taking the hour trek to the local Genius Bar?

If so u can make a appointment online to the apple store so u don't have to wait if their is not a computer around go to the library

Unfortunately, just over, have an appt at the local genuis bar on Sunday, unfortunately, a hour or so away.
