My name is Kathleen and while I am new to this site, not so with IPad2..love this pad but cannot find out how to delete email msgs in trash....do I do this manually?

Also, Recented turned off Archive Mail but I have some 2000 msgs there....how do I get rid of it all on my IPad?

The only way that I've been able to delete the message is to manually do it. When I want to do it fast I go to edit, then select the messages I want to delete, then delete those.

Thank you for the info...good to know I'm not alone....so tedious...I show to have some 2000 Archived....delete them manually? I notice what I delete there shows in my Trash and I can get a number of them there manually and delete trash ones all at same time with Delete All button
