I've tried converting several flv files lately with handbrake, and the M4V files seem to be accepted by iTunes, but when I try synching I get "file won't play on ipad/iphone" Does anyone have an idea what is going on? Thanks, Hal
Well . Here is the problem FLV is Flash. Apple don't like flash. The Name FLV comes from FLash Video iPad only Supports MP4, H.264 Video. You need to get a converter like "Daniusoft iPad Video Converter" that can do that. There is also for the MAC "Daniusoft Video Converter for Mac"
Soooo, back to my original question, does HANDBRAKE have a problem converting Flash (flv) files? I am aware Apple doesn't do flash, and I was under the impression that Handbrake was a conversion program...
not sure if it will fix your issue or not, but it is a good place to start. I will search the HB forums and see what i come up with. Tim
So far everything I read says it should work with no issues. Update to the new version, and use one of the Apple presets for the conversion. I dont have any flv on my mac or i would test run for ya Tim
I couldn't get HB to work. I use any video converter I cant post a link just search any video converter I have nothing to do with this site
I converted a flv the ipod touch format (iPad is still not here) just cant pry the touch away from my wife to see if it works Tim
