Pocket Gamer reports today that to celebrate Chinese New Year and the start of the Year of the Rabbit, Rockstar Games has slashed the price of GTA: Chinatown Wars (both the HD iPad version and the iPhone version) from £5.99/$9.99 to £2.99/$4.99. The sale will last until the end of Sunday night, so don’t delay for too long if you want to grab yourself one of the best iPad games of last year. It plays extremely well, and really does have the same sort of thrill as the early top-down Grand Theft Auto console games. The violent themes and industrial language won’t be for everyone of course, but most people should know what they’re getting with a Grand Theft Auto game by now. The story revolves around young Huang Lee as he arrives in Liberty City on a mission to deliver an ancient sword to his uncle, and then follows Huang Lee's adventures as he inevitably gets caught up in the gang warfare in the violent neighbourhood. The music is excellent too, so this really is a bargain at half-price and well worth snapping up.
