Do you remember your old passcode? You should be able to enter it, then either turn off the passcode lock/restrictions or reset the passcode that way. Or you can do a restore of the device(thus wiping everything off to factory settings) but I think if the device is passcode locked to start with, you can't get to that screening settings anyways.
That's all I got, sorry:(

I think you are stuck with syncing to a computer to do it(even then, I think you'll need to do a full restore/reset to wipe out an unknown passcode without entering it.

When you say reset your passcode - do you mean change it? Also is this the passcode for your iPad or for iTunes?

Thanks, I don't know old passcode and yes this is for iPad not iTunes. Will need to wait until I go to work tomorrow and connect to my computer there.

Unfortunately, if you don't know the passcode to get into your iPad, you will have to do a restore in iTunes. And, yes, with that, you will need a computer.

The only way you can "fix" this problem is to sync the iPad to the iTunes with which it is synced. As Apple's directions say:

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

I just wanted you to be aware of that last part. Your data will be lost if you don't use the iTunes the iPad is synced with.

Good luck and hope you get it straightened out.

Marilyn

P.S. I deleted another thread you had started on this same topic. Not only does it mess up "conversations" as people try to keep track of what's going on - it's against our forum rules to make more than one post per question/concern. So, please, keep response here in this thread. Thanks and again, good luck.
