Garageband - distorted sound?

I've just gotten my Apple Certified Refurbished iPad 1 (2 days ago), and I bought Garageband for it. It worked fine at first, but now it is giving me distorted sounds -- even the drums sound bad. It sounds kind of like there's a driver issue (back in the day of Windows 3.x).

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jeff

Outside my iPad, or was it inside?
The sound should be normal.

Here are two things you can try to resolve this issue

Reboot the iPad
-press the power button for 5 sec, than slide to power off

Restart GarageBand
-press the home button twice, to enter the Multitaskbar
-press onto the GarageBand icon, until it starts wiggling
-press the red circle to close GarageBand

Hopefully one of those two things fixes the distorted sound.

I rebooted the iPad, and that seemed to clear it up... Thanks!
