What are the video dimensions to view (convert) a video full screen? On the new iPad Mini? Cuz 1280x720 still shows widescreen

The screen resolution is the same as that of the iPad1 and iPad2,


1024x768.


It will play 720p, but unless you use the Zoom button

the video will have black borders.

Keep in mind that if you are going to convert your movies to play full-screen on your iPad Mini that a Widescreen movie will either need to be stretched (looks bad) or cropped (better, but you lose a lot of the video)

If you double tap the screen while the video is playing , the widescreen video will expand to fill the entire screen, losing some area at the sides.
