Why won't mi pad accept the free "livitv" app? or will it?

Are you talking about the Livingston Football Club app? This is a web app that you can get by going here. http://www.livingstonfc.co.uk/livitv.php

I just tried it on my iPad mini and it seems to work perfectly.

Which app are you referring to? If its the Aurasma app, make sure you are trying the iPad/iPhone app as opposed to the Android app with Google Play.
