    did i read somewhere (or did i dream it) that there is a some kind of flash update or fix being launched for the ipad 2 in the near future?

    That is most definitely a dream - the iPad will never support Flash, however a compromise has been reached between Adobe and Apple that will see iPad compatible websites becoming widely available that were once Flash-only.

    No adobe is making changes but not overnight ipad 2 is same as original ipad in respect to flash

    Not so much adobe and apple coming to an agreement.. More apple forcing the dev communities hand on html5...i give flash three years max.

    I think what you were dreaming about was the announcement that Adobe will be supporting HTML5 live streaming on their Flash media server products from now on. So in theory, if a website is running once of these servers to serve up their traditional flash video feeds, any device (including ours) should now get served the video through HTML5 technology rather than requiring flash technology on the device.
    It's a welcome addition to their server side tech, but it is not a solution to flash on iPad.
