Many people who read silently do so by imagining a voice speaking the words they are reading. Often, it's the own voice, so there's a specific sound.

Some say that when they read a text from a person they are close to, they hear the voice of that person.

It was believed until 1822 that birds, such as storks and swallows hibernated in a state of torpor and withdrew under the water, or turned into mice. Even zoologists propagated that theory, until a stork with an arrow from Africa in its neck was found.

The French king Louis XIV owned a collection of 413 beds in several places all over France, so that he could sleep on his own bed, no matter where he went.

Sheikh Hamad had his name carved into an island he owns (Futaisi Island). The letters were dug deep enough to form waterways, and it could be read from space.

I just noticed this...

The iPad usually assumes that the next letter after a sentence should be in blocks. So if we type any word and hit space 2 times, it automatically highlights the 'Shift' button.

BUT, it does not when we try to type in 'sq.' which is usually the abbreviated form for 'square' while expressing areas.

It's possible to predict the weather with a cup of hot coffee, tea or cocoa. All you have to do is watch the bubbles.

To add on :

If the bubbles are seen moving from the center to the sides rapidly, it indicates high pressure and that the weather will be clear for the next 12 hours.

If the bubbles move slower, there might be a bit of rough weather, but its going to clear out soon.

If the bubbles hang around in the center or the cup, it means low pressure. Expect rains in the next 12 hours.

Remember the conspiracy theory about the 2012 end of the world? Well we pretty much know that it's just a lie, and one of the most unknown reasons or proof that it is not real is that the calendar that shows the Mayan calendar is actually the Aztec calendar.

Nintendo was originally a trading card game.

Russia has. A larger surface than Pluto.

For every human in the world, there is 1.6 million ants.

Scotland's national animal is the unicorn.

There are more fake flamingos than actual living flamingos around the world.

They actually use the stone on a string method to predict the weather. If the stone is still, there's no wind. If the stone is wet it's raining. If the stone is dry it's not raining. If the stone casts a shadow, it's sunny. If the stone is moving it's windy. If the string is horizontal, the wind is very strong. If the stone is missing, a typhoon is on it's way.

But a banana is.
