There are many astronauts in Texas. This is from Wikipedia:

Oh ya, I remember that story about the girlfriend who travelled from Texas to Florida. Drove herself, had extra gas cans, wore diapers so she wouldn't be seen, and tried to kill his new girlfriend with a gun!

Nope not $1. Herbert Hoover and George Washington, refused to take the salary, but on being told it would lead to bad chain reactions, took it and then finally donated it to charity, but I'm talking about presidents who are currently alive.
