I bought myself and iPad 2 in the UAE. But now I don't have access to the FaceTime app. I think is because of their rules on Skype etc. is there any way I can get it?! Any advice on this will be very much appreciated! thank you! ;)

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Regarding FaceTime, it is not available in UAE and from what I know you will never be able to access it either. Apparently all these iPads sold there have special code numbers or some such thing which will not allow it.
As far as their app store is concerned there is not a lot available either as far as I know but you can set up an account with another country. You will need an iTunes gift card from the country you wish to use but these are available on the net and as you only need the number on it, this can be emailed to you. You will also need to set up another email address, I suggest gmail. Have a look here:-

Hello to you,

I live in UAE and use all BBC , ITV etc apps.

You can set up VPN connection with British server. Only inconvenience 1. Payment £5 every month through pay pal and 2. You need unlimited
Internet. Google ' my private network'.

Good luck xxx
