    Does anyone know how to go offline on Facebook chat? I can't find it anywhere!!

    That makes it go away, so it actually makes me go offline as well?!

    Old thread, and the feature's probably been added since, but I'm here so:

    Swipe down on the chat list while in landscape. A search box and gear icon will appear at the top. Tap the gear icon to Turn Off Chat.
