Evoland Released for iOS

French indie dev. Shiro Games has just released its hit PC game Evoland on iOS.

"We are very excited to bring Evoland to a whole new audience", said Sebastien Vidal, CEO of Shiro Games. "With over 400,000 players experiencing our game on PC, we can't wait for iOS and Android owners to be able to enjoy the adventure wherever they are."

As you can tell from the graphics, Evoland harkens back to a simpler time, when The Legend of Zelda and old-school Final Fantasy ruled the world. It’s a journey through the history of RPG/adventure gaming, right back to the earliest 8-bit days, and then right back again and up to the modern 3D-graphics era, with players getting to unlock new technologies, gameplay systems and graphical upgrades as they progress.

It’s also chock full of gentle humor, just like Zelda and Final Fantasy, with lots of in-jokes and references to classic games that gamers will appreciate.
