I have an Evernote question. Does it support the password protection of notes? I just need to take basic notes and be able to sync them. I presently use notes+ Thanks.

Your question deserves its own thread. We'll move it to the iPF Help area where you're likely to get a better response.

In my version of Evernote (disclaimer: I have the full version, for which I pay), there is a settings function within the app where you can set a 4-digit numeric password. Then, with the password set, you cannot access the Evernote app until/unless you input the password. So, everything is protected, not just certain/some files.

I added the disclaimer because I don't know if this function is on the free Evernote version...

Doesn't look like it, at least I can't find anywhere to set a password in the app's settings. There is an option to upgrade. It lists a few of the extra features you get, then says a lot more. Password protection must be in that lot. ;)

you can encrypt text

I use the free version as well... there is the option to encrypt text in notes, which I do frequently. Highlight the text you want to protect, right click and select "Encrypt selected text". Add a password and you're good to go.

Does the encryption work within the iPad version of Evernote?

I've tried to use encryption within Evernote iPad but can't see how to do it.

I'm not sure. I've only used it on my desktop version.
