Ever since I upgraded to iOS 5, my battery seems to get used up more quickly

    Is that normal?

Also, is there any way to downgrade to the previous version I was running?

I don't know about downgrading, but I have read a few articles in MacHash where users have reported a faster battery drain.

Of course, I've read posts in this forum from people who state that their battery performance has improved. I haven't seen an improvement in battery performance probably because of the number of apps, the types I use and the insane number of push notifications I need to constantly keep to a minimum.

There seems to be an issue with ios 5.0, where it can reduce the battery life. It is supposed to be fixed in ios 5.0.1 though. Since downgrading is not an option, unless you have SHSH blobs saved, it would be best to just wait until apple releases the iOS update.
