emails to my ipad

My emails to may gmail account are coming through on my iPhone but not my iPad; when I try to refresh on the i Pad I get a message to check that the settings which seem fine to me; any thoughts/help?

Check the settings in Gmail through a browser. Look at your Gmail account settings there.

If you access the account on your iPad, go to Desktop view after signing in and open settings.




Do you use Gmail as POP or as IMAP account? IMAP is the better choice. Also it's possible that the emails have to be kept on the server.
