What iPad series do you have? I mean there are specific forums for your version of iPad and a good 'Help' forum as well among some others. But now that you are here, ask away. You'll get a hearing in any case.

Thanks Andrew & Totallylagit... Bought the iPad 3 recently, set up email and recieve just fine.. I just can't DELETE messages. When I delete one out of the Inbox, it TEMPORARILY dissapears and I get a message box: "Unable to Move Message" - "The message could not be moved to the mailbox Trash". I open Trash and it's not in there. When pressing the Home button to exit Email and re-open Email, the message magically re-appears in the Inbox. Same for the Spam folder.. I now have 699 spams that I cannot delete.. wierd.
I live 80 miles from tech help, so thought I'd try here.. but I think I will have to take a trip back to Apple Store..
Thanks, Dave

The iPad appears to give a number of options, but you could try them all ( sorry if already tried)
(1) Left swipe on the message, then delete
(2) Tap to highlight the message then tap the dust bin up top right
(3) tap the message you want to delete, then up top tap Edit, and of the choices Delete, Move, or Mark select Delete.
(4) in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars next to Show, what number of "Recent Messages" does it show? Try cranking that up to say 200. Hope one of these helps, but do let us know as it could help others.
Regards, Andrew

Tap on your mail account, tap on Advanced and make sure that the 'Deleted Mailbox' is set to go to the 'Trash' file.
I am new here so I don't yet know how to show you with pictures.
Hope this helps.

I don't know why but the first part of my reply seems to be missing. Here goes again, select 'Settings' select 'Mail, Contacts, Calendar' select 'Mail' select your 'Account' tap on 'Advanced' make sure that the 'Deleted Mailbox' is set to 'Trash'
