Hey guys ~

I have three email accounts and on all of them it use to have an option after I read it,

"keep as new"

And if you tapped yes, then a little blue dot appeared, and then the email was, of course, marked as new.

Well ~

That feature/option has left this earth. I want it back.

And I no longer get those little red numbers on top of my email app on the home screen either, to tell me I have mail, which is not really a problem as my Blackberry never shuts up about it!

I just hate when options just freakin disappear!

Hmmm...I have never seen that "keep as new" feature in the Mail app.

As for the new mail notifications, perhaps the BB is stealing the iPads thunder and claiming the new mail count first before your iPad can get it from the server.

I had the same two problems happen to me before and here is how I solved them:
1. You can get " Keep as unread " back by going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Mail > Show To/Cc Label and turn it to ON.
2. I got the mail count badge back by doing a " hard reset " of the iPad.

I hope this works as well for you as it did for me.

I went into settings last night and poked around. But I am going to try your suggestion.:)

If I do a hard reset, will that effect anything else?

Thank you so much!!

Will it delete all my emails? In and out....all three email accounts...

Hmm...

But they would still be on my BB and my desktop....

I have some important work related emails.

Okay!

We have a Plan B.:D

Sorry, Col. Beach will have to wait. :(

Shitums! It even warns you before you hit that delete button!

"deleting this account will delete all emails from this iPad"

I'm scared! Hold me.:)

Sorry this did not work for you. Hard reset only helps in solving some issues with applications not working correctly but it would not cause any problem for your device. Actually some people recommend doing a hard reset once a week to keep the device working in top shape.

I agree gamal I do the hard reset regularly and first to fix issues.

Marie, yes you'll lose the emails that are on iPad but if they are downloaded elsewhere (laptop, BB) you will still have them.

What is a hard reset again? Hold the power button and the home button? I have only done it once.

I will try this before I delete my accounts. Thanks you two!

Hold them forever, LOL. Well past the "slide to shut off" screen until the apple comes to play.
