This EDSS calculator has been developed to assist healthcare professionals across therapy areas to calculate the Expanded Disability Severity Score (EDSS) for patients suffering with multiple sclerosis (MS).

The purpose of the app is to quickly and accurately calculate the EDSS using Kurtzke's algorithm.

Healthcare professionals can use the app to build a patient list and store their individual EDSS results that can be accessed quickly and easily at any time - the app's been built for iPad and iPhone.

Is this data compared to national benchmarks for MS disability?

Does this app come equipped with the actual testing assessment or is it simply a calculator to sum the disability index?

    Apologies for the delayed response.

The app, as it stands today, is simply a calculator to sum up the disability index.

For the next release, however, which we hope will be available in early 2014, we will provide a lot more information and criteria to guide inexperienced physicians in their assessment of MS patients which will make the calculator even more useful.
