Hi guys I am new to this forum and also new to the IPad. I am having difficulty with downloading. When I try to download music for example , it gives me 2 options of places to save it. One being DROPBOX but that is full and the other option is Evernote. How do I just download to the IPad somewhere instead of those apps ? Thank you for any help in advance.

If you're downloading from iTunes, it WILL save it to the iPad. Please specify where you are attempting to download content from.

Free music? I hope this is legal... :|
I believe that since this is an outside source, DropBox and Evernote will be your only options, however there may be a possible work around if you jailbreak. As far as I know, the only way to save it TO THE DEVICE is by going through iTunes/Apple or a 3rd party app.

PS. Thanks for the like!

Yeah it is legal as far as I know. These are offerings from the artists or producers themselves that are on dedicated sites of their own or in circulation as promotion tools for the most part. I guess I will have to figure it out. Thanks.

http://boi-1da.net/sound-kit/ , there is an example. A free file of drum sounds being offered to fans directly from the producer. I didn't realize that the legitimacy and legality of sites and/or inquiries were going to be questioned. Hopefully that clears it up. It was a simple question in the beginning and I appreciate the 'help'.

This was just a precaution so that I could help you here.....I wasn't aware that these types of sites exist to download legitimately. That's certainly good to know.
All too often we have pirates here who we will not help under any circumstance as what they are doing is illegal.
A good app which will do what you ask is Goodreader, it's a great app which will help you with a lot of tasks, not just music download.

I haven't downloaded music to it myself but there are threads here about it. Hope this helps you. Enjoy!!
