I guiz i got difficulty in choosing office suites, can you suggest a good app? Tnx
moved your post here for better help.
Maybe..., Open Office (OpenOffice.org). Best thing out there. It is what Microsoft stole and used to create its pricey bundle. Open Office is free, has Word Processing, Spread sheets, Data sorting and TONS of free templates. Works on desktop computers and I have heard there is a way to use it on iPad, although I have not tried to use it on one. It is open source and has excellent information on its message boards/website.
Open office cannot run on an iPad, there is beta version of Ooffice that is from the cloud, however here is a free office suite on the app store
Thanks for the update, correction
I love OpenOffice and really wish they'd come up with an iPad app.
It is great isn't it! It is always good to support the open source community whenever we can
I've been using it to write my novel for years.
Tnx for the info! .....i already had this one..but i wanted the one with the .doc or .docx file ext. im in college right now and working on my thesis, i badly need one...
If you have a solid/fast internet connection you can use the OnLive or CloudOn virtual desktop apps. They both have the main MS Office suite apps, and DropBox so that you can get your documents on/off their site.
Both offer free basic accounts. That should be enough for your thesis.
Otherwise, I have not heard of a both decent and free word processing app for the iPad. One may exist, but it hasn't crossed my radar.
