Today, I activated Microsoft Exchange on my ipad. I was so excited to be able to view my calendar on my ipad, until I got locked out. It keeps asking me for a passcode. I don't know what my passcode is. I have never had to do this before. Can anyone help me?

Is this a work email address?

Is the iPad administered by your work?

If either of these are true, you may need to talk you your business IT's and see what they say.

Your exchange Password would be normally be your domain password. Each time you change your domain password, you will have to change your password in the mail settings. Most companies would require you to change your domain password and the frequency depend on the company policy.

I think what you are eluding to is the requirement in iOS to set a device Passcode as compulsory when using Exchange for company emails. It's a security measure to lock your iPad so that prying eyes cannot just swipe and read your private mail.

That being said, I believe you are being prompted to set-up a Passcode because your iPad currently does not have one.
